A note for potential Aquablation patients: Unfortunately, recent insurance requirements dictate who we can offer this fantastic procedure to. Typically, a diagnosis of prostate cancer will exclude you from coverage. Insurers require that the patient has has prostate imaging that measures the gland between 30-150 cc in size. Prostate medications must have been failed for greater than 3 months, and a uroflow test is required if a foley catheter is present. If you’ve had a previous work up and have any of this information, please bring it with you to your surgical consultation.
